Poster Schedule

View the VGEM 2021 poster schedule HERE.

This year the poster sessions will take place in the virtual GEM Gather-Town environment. It is anticipated that the Gather-Town environment will allow for a poster-like interaction as we know it from the in-person meetings. There are two poster sessions planned (Monday and Thursday) during which the presenters will be available for two hours. However, access to Gather-Town will be available all the time during the meeting.

At the same time, all posters will be available in the https://vgem.org site where participants can view the posters during all times, watch a recorded presentation of the posters (optional) and leave notifications to the authors.

Poster upload

Posters will be uploaded using the functionality of the VGEM website (https://vgem.org) as was done last year.  All submitted poster titles are available in the VGEM website and the authors can use the upload button next to the corresponding title to upload the poster. It is strongly encouraged uploading the posters several days before the meeting to allow participants to browse through the posters at their convenience. This will maximize the exposure of your work. The posters will be removed from the VGEM website two weeks after the end of the workshop.

The VGEM 2021 website (vgem.org) is now available to all participants. The website is password-protected, please check your email for the login credentials.

We require two formats of poster uploads:

  1. PDF file:  This poster format could be the traditional one page poster or oral presentation slides but the content should be the equivalent of a poster presentation

  2. PNG file (< 5 MB):  This one-page picture format is to display your poster in Gather.town, the new meeting platform for VGEM 2021.

Optional: We suggest that an audio or video file is uploaded with a ~5 minute description/summary of the presented work.
