Student Financial Support Application

**Financial support is available only for undergraduate, graduate students and junior postdocs affiliated with academic/research institutions in the USA. They are required to present a poster at the workshop to be guaranteed support.

Financial Support Applications must be submitted by April 30th, 2019.

Every student applying for assistance must have his or her advisor/supervisor send Dr. Chia-Lin Huang a one or two-paragraph e-mail stating why he/she thinks the student will benefit from attending the conference at the following email address:


For students who receive support to attend GEM, we will now require that you submit a follow-up report (500 words) within 2 weeks of workshop completion. In the report, please briefly summarize what you have learned or accomplished at GEM. Failure to complete this report could lower your priority in the next year for funding.
